Exhibition

If you happen to be in Kalamazoo, Michigan between February 24 and March 19, 2010, be sure to check out the Lucid Directions exhibition at Western Michigan University. Juried by Columbia College professor Alison Carey, this show is a fresh look at surrealism in contemporary photography (oh, yeah, it also has new Disfigures work by yours truly). Details below.

Skins, hides, etc

I've been working on some new images dealing with human skin. Still trying to sort it all out in my brain.

In the meantime, please enjoy this color field painting analysis of Jenifer Aniston's strange skin tone.

Award!

I've just been awarded a CAAP (Community Arts Assistance Program) Grant for 2009. This will be my third year in a row. Hooray!

For those of you unfamiliar with CAAP, it's a great way for emerging to mid-career artists in the Chicagoland area to fund their work. Applications are usually due in December for the following year.
